 about

Hello there Art lovers!

The artwork you see here I have created over the last few years, mostly in my funny little studio-shop-house in Exeter. I am an artist, mother, and a teacher at Okehampton College. I studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London where I cycled around its bright lights soaking up as much diverse culture as I could. In search of new adventures I stopped in another city, Bristol for a few years, hence some of the urban themes in my work with man-made object, textured wall and graffiti roaming around. Now I am settled here in Exeter, with wild and windy moorland around me I find myself feeling the softness of nature creeping into my work. My little Zenna bean has showed me a sparkly new way of seeing the world and her total admiration for trees is rubbing off me!

As you can see there is a wide breadth of influential styles in my work. Apart from my life-long obsession faces I am currently very influenced by the Polish Street Art duo, Etam Crew. I can only describe their work as an amalgamation of Dali’s surreal oil paintings and Pixar’s cartoon animation. My most recent paintings, the triptych entitled Le Boeuf-Canard are about my recent awareness of the ethics surrounding the Food Industry. The driving force in my work has always been to ignite childhood magic and dreams we all quietly see and believe in.

”Art, Love and Magic have a lot in common. They delight the soul, enrich the heart and all take practice."
